Homework

  1. Begin studying your notes from throughout the year for our upcoming Year-in-Review Test on Monday, May 23 through Wednesday, May 25 covering all of this year’s materials.

Lesson 7: Major Events of the Cold War Learning Activity Summarizer
1 Read vocab into own words Analogy
2 Read pp. 5 – 6 of the CWB 3-2-1
3 Read pp. 6 – 8 of the CWB and create a timeline One minute sentence
4 Read pp. 8 – 9 of the CWB and answer D.Q. on p. 9 Key word: This is an acrostic of the concept of the Cold War and students write sentences for each letter that summarizes information they have learned.
5 Vietnam War – notes (on Monday, May 16) Jeopardy Questions: Create one lower-order and two higher-order discussion questions for the table on p. 4 of CWB that compares/contrasts the U.S. and U.S.S.R.
Graphic Organizer Graphic Organizer: Create a sequential graphic organizer illustrating the major events of the Cold War, complete with citation.

 

Culminating Assignment Using your graphic organizer above, write a paragraph or longer argument that identifies the most pivotal moment in the entire Cold War, complete with an explanation as to why that moment was so pivotal, including the consequences if that moment had turned out differently.
